Help - Loading Verizon aGPS Provisioning CAB

I am a newbie to this site and this type of technology period.

I was able to download the instructions to unlock GPS on the XV6900 (Verizon) and follow them. What I could not seem to figure out is how to load the Verizon aGPS Provisioning CAB.

Is there any where I can go to get simply step by step instructions on how to do this (for a beginner) so I can complete the process?

To install cab files connect your device using ActiveSync and drag the downloaded .cab into My documents on your connected device..
On your device browse to the .cab using File explorer and click on it to install.
During tis you will be asked if you want to install to Device or storage card, its your choice I prefer storage...and this is about it..

That was pretty easy!

However, I get a "No GPS receiver was found message when I hit the "use GPS" feature on Google Maps....I must have done something wrong I guess?

This may be due to (I'm not 100% sure) Verizon not having GPS unlocked without you Unlocking and Flashing your phone...Try checking to see if you are set to COM 4

Start>Settings>System>ExternalGPS

Yes...I have it set at COM4

How do you unlock and flash the phone?
