ICS causes phone to switch betwen 1x and evdo

whenever i use the ICS feature on my touch it is constantly switching between 1x and EVDO even when EVDO is the stronger of the signals, is there any settings, or reghacks that would force my phone to stay on the EVDO network when using ICS?

Well there are a few ways to do it, depending on which carrier/Rom you have,
go to start/settings/phone....pick the services tab at the bottom.....now you see choices....select mode of operation (if your Rom has it)....select Evdo only, click okay for the warning...Done

All calls will go straight to voicemail while in this mode, you have to change it back afterwards.
