Better picture quality?

I used to have the registy so I had better picture quality when I took still shots...

Alas with the re-flashes I have done I have lost those tweaks.

And getting the correct wording in the search function seems to eldue me.

Can anyone help me out?

I used to have more selections in capture format and the shots were WAY sharper than they are now.

are both of these hacks only for video quality or does it help still shots as well?
