XV6900 problem recieving calls!

My question is if the new OS WM 6.1 will resolve my issue. Also, does anyone else have this same issue?


When calls come in to me, and my phones back light is not on, it will not ring. This is the same with text messages.



The person calling will have it ring about 5 times and then go to voicemail.

When i turn the phone on, it will ring once and tell me the calls i missed, as well as all the text messages will appear.

I hear this is a problem with this phone and just wanted to know if the new 6.1 addresses this problem?

Verizon is telling me it is a problem with the software and that the upgrade (when released ) will fix this problem.

Everything else on the phone appears to work, and this problem is intermittant.

I just don't want to wait for the upgrade and then have the same problem again.
