XV6900 problem recieving calls!
 

My question is if the new OS WM 6.1 will resolve my issue. Also, does anyone else have this same issue?


When calls come in to me, and my phones back light is not on, it will not ring. This is the same with text messages.



The person calling will have it ring about 5 times and then go to voicemail.

When i turn the phone on, it will ring once and tell me the calls i missed, as well as all the text messages will appear.

I hear this is a problem with this phone and just wanted to know if the new 6.1 addresses this problem?

Verizon is telling me it is a problem with the software and that the upgrade (when released ) will fix this problem.

Everything else on the phone appears to work, and this problem is intermittant.

I just don't want to wait for the upgrade and then have the same problem again.

Flash a custom rom.... they are much better

SO you think this is a software issue and can be fixed? The reason I ask is Verizon is going to let me pick another phone, and I don't want to keep this one if it does not work even with the upgrade.

Can I install that custom with WM 6.0? OR just 6.1?

If you install a custom 6.1 rom it will be gone. I highly recommend dharveys roms. ( i was gonna say you conflipper but ur alltell :))

Whos roms are best for vogue hoover? i know conflipper does great work but he is alltell...

As for Con you can always not let the customizations run then install DCD carrier .cabs

true that about conflipper.... yea nfsfan does prtty nice work. but i would say dahrvey is also one of the best. non the less op pick a rom and fllsh it

If i need to revert to the one i am using now, can i just reinstall the Verizon 6.1 update and that will replace the custom ROM? I have never used a custom rom before. will it change any major functions to the system?

Is this or going to a Blackberry and I like windows mobile devices.

It is a huge change. Insanely better performance and added programs. You can always flash back if that is what your asking. Also you have to flash back before insurance.
