Exclamation The alarm does not turn off

I have the latest OMJ rom and i lately began to experience the following problem: when i put my alarm at 9:00am it goes on, then i turn it off. Then i unmarked the box so it is not going to go on the next day. To my great surprize it went off, and successfuly ruined my sleep-in day. I unmark the mon, tue, wed, thu, fri, sat, sun boxes so in theory it is not even supposed to work, but it does and its been going on for a week. I dont want to reflash as i have a perfect setup, and im affraid that if i back up fully the problem is not gona go away. Anyone who has the same issue or a solution to this issue please help a felloow 'vouger'.

Re: The alarm does not turn off

The alarm in Windows Mobile has been causing a lot of problems and its a pretty well known issue. (just look on google and see)

Windows Mobile works its alarms, notifications, appointments etc. through the Notification Queue. Whatever gets entered in the queue allows the device to wake up from sleep/low-power states and do whatever it needs to do.

However, it doesn't do a good job managing this queue. If you have SKTools or any other maintenance software, you can view the queue for yourself and see. (it'll probably contain a lot of duplicate items which is why you have your problem)

You can try this tool: http://blogs.microsoft.co.il/blogs/t...-to-alert.aspx
Which will hopefully clear things up.

I just all together ditched the windows mobile alarm and downloaded G-Alarm. So far it is pretty reliable. :P

Re: The alarm does not turn off

Well once you change the settings try a soft reset... It would be a bug to do every time but if it helps then alright... You could always copy and paste all your customizations to your SD the back up everything except your customizations and after a hard rest... re- install all...Just a easy suggestion...

Re: The alarm does not turn off

Thank you for the replies. I am going to use MemMaid to clear the queue. I will report in the morning on the level of success.

Re: The alarm does not turn off

Betcha the problem will still be there. I was using Fizz Alarms and had real problems with alarms out of nowhere. I switched to another application and so far it is working ok.

Re: The alarm does not turn off

Before you reflash if you are content with your ROM just back up and hard reset (end + send key + soft reset hole ) all at once...

Re: The alarm does not turn off

same thing is happening to me right after i flashed to the official leaked 6.1 rom. even turning off the alarm or changing the time, it still goes off at the same old time.

anyone find a fix? i hate to hard reset as it takes so long to get everything set up again
