Re: sprite back up
You have to make sure you are in advanced mode (for the earlier versions of Sprite Back up) otherwise, in basic mode (default mode), it doesn't give you the option to select different folders. This is what the OP is probably seeing.

Re: sprite back up
I use Sprite Backup for all my full backups...and PIM to backup contacts, messages, etc. You can use the Custom Backup feature of Sprite Backup to select only the items you want to backup, including contacts, messages, etc. On the main screen once Sprite Backup opens, you should see 5 icons. The center one (third from left) is for custom backup. Just select it and follow the on-screen instructions. Select only the items you want to back up.
PIM is really great, however, for contacts, and messages. I have mine set to automatically back up to my storage card every night at 2 AM. That way, never a loss in case of a problem. |

Re: sprite back up
You can also use sprite explorer to get any file from a sprite backup so if you have a complete backup you can go in and get the files you need. I cannot recall the name of the file you are looking for but I am sure one of the wizards here can help with that.
