REDFLY accessory for your Touch - new review

If anyone is interested in the REDFLY devices you can check out the new review we started here:

http://Rstoeber.com/blog/2008/12/18/redfly-smartphone-terminal-review-1/

We just got one in to evaluate for a group of sales people.

Bottom line is that it's pretty cool. Easy to set up and it works well with all applications on my Sprint Touch. It even works surprisingly well while I'm using a Bluetooth headset and the REDFLY is tethered to the Touch via Bluetooth.

One caution: it's not happy with custom roms. I started out with a custom Diamond rom and the normal Touch REDFLY driver, but it wasn't stable. Next I tried the beta driver that's in the works for the Diamond, but that didn't go much better. So I reflashed back to a standard Sprint rom and everything is working great.

Re: REDFLY accessory for your Touch - new review

I talked to the Redfly guys a couple of days ago. Their marketing staff use Touch Pros and they plan to have an upgraded Redfly package that fully supports the Touch Pro and Diamond by the end of Dec.
Apparently, they have a beta version running now and, I'm looking forward to getting a compatible Redfly.
