Sprint 6900 converting to Verizon Help Please

Hi, My brother sent me his Sprint 6900 as he jumped ship to AT&T. I am with Verizon so I Unlocked the phone using Vogue Unlocker then flashed the ROM to Dette 2D V2.3 Diamond Edition. I installed the dcd verzion carrier 20081031.cab.Everything looked good so I called Verizon and gave them the DEC# and she said it don't come up in there system so I can't use it. I thought maybe the # is not released so I called SPRINT and he said the # is released and it's ready to be used. So what did I do wrong? Please help as my 6700 is acting up and I need it for the Dr's calls and the alarms for my medications. Thanks, JASTECH

Re: Sprint 6900 converting to Verizon Help Please

Unfortunately, ESN's are registered with each carrier. Sprint and Verizon like to ****block people into buying a new phone when they switch carriers. It happened to me with my Verizon Apache going to Sprint. I ended up having to get a Vogue because I couldn't swing the cash up front for a Titan.

There are a few companies that will let you bring in a phone from another carrier, just not Sprint or Verizon. Cheezy, IMO.
