Connecting to internet via USB Q

I have the internet sharing fix (6.1) and know how to connect on my phone end but my problem is on my laptop end. I select internet options/connections and it doesn't give me an option to connect via USB. There are 4 options: dial up, bband, VPN and directly to another computer but none of them work.. What am I not doing??

Do u hav Activesync 4.5 installed on the PC?
