Hello everyone! i do apologise for my late response (both in time to reply, and time of night) to your posts, ive been busy with school. i have come to the conclusion that the best way that i can do what i want to do with out an accelerometer, would be button mapping. at the moment, i am looking for a program through google to find that program. if any of you know what i should use, please post a reply, or pm me. sorry if i got off toppic a bit, but i thought it related to the lack of the accelerometer in my device. thank you all for your input!

aebutton plus. There is a freeware version, I think its just version 1. I had mine set to the volume up rocker to switch. You can also do it with the camera button with no software. Just go to start/settings/buttons change camera to rotate screen.

wow, that was fast! thanks alot! been using it now for about 5 min (aebuttons plus), and seems to be what i was looking for!

Well on the Instinct's web browser, if you hold the camera button you can tilt the phone to scroll.
But needs to be in a well lit area, cause it uses the camera to get a reference point and blah blah blah...it's a feature on the Instinct that I think it pretty useless.
