Can I use my unlocked Sprint Touch in India ..

Can I use my unlocked Sprint Touch in India while on vacation, for 3 weeks. Evidently Reliance network in India is CDMA too. If yes, will it be a problem when I get back?

Thanks.

Yes, it should. I was in India for a week about a year ago (Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad). I had a Sprint Treo at the time and it worked great.

yes, you can use.

if you want to use as international roaming then no problem. otherwise you need to unlock it and load reliance/tata PRL. and make other cahnges as per service provider. visit www.rimweb.in

Re: Can I use my unlocked Sprint Touch in India ..

ok, dont know if this will be off topic but it seems right up the same alleyway.
I got a sprint touch in perfect working condition.
I was using it on Kenya's CDMA network, telkom wireless(Now Orange Fixed plus) without any problems.
I installed 2.31 coke correctly and then run the latest sprint ROM.
It said no radio during the restart but now it says 3.42 just fine but i'm unable to get service.
I've put in a custom 6.1 ROm but nothing still.
Everything else works great.
And doesnt the vogue say no SIM if I dont put in the RUIM card?
Coz it behaves exactly the same if I remove the card.
Is there a customization I need to run or something?

Just out of curiosity.. did you authenticate the phone after updating the radio?
