Updating to a Custom Rom. Help!

Hi

So I have decided to finally break down and go to a custom rom. I hate my Bell Rom since it wont let me play with GPS without paying for it so here goes. However i am a little nervous and would like some breif help.

If i do this what happens to my phones warrenty (with Bell btw)? Can i go back if things go drastically wrong? And do i do anything other then download the file to upgrade? I am going with the NFSFAN rom.

Thank you for any help/advice

Yep, you pretty much follow the directions in the rom's thread. You can always flash back if you need to. Just keep a copy of your stock rom in a folder as a backup.
