Re: Verizon XV6900 $149 after rebate
Not sure what the saga is but I think the Blackberry Storm is the one they are knowing will be big. So I just got my xv6900 too for $150ish...after rebate. Cook'd ROM in less then 48 hours...so no going back now!
I was really thinking about the storm but I guess I"m addicted to WM and rebootings 5 times a day! ![]() |

Re: Verizon XV6900 $149 after rebate
Yeah , as nice as the blackberry/palm/iphone interface may be I personally don't think they will ever be as versatile as WM in terms of flexibility for 3rd party software and modifications.
The new Samsung runs on WM 6.1 as well, but with the smaller touch screen and Verizon's greed for more money (mandatory data plan) I'm not going to get it. My main attraction is 3rd party standalone (that don't require net connection) navigation software. the XV6900 would do a better job at that for me than the new Samsung, I wasn't going to get a data plan for it anyway and couldn't care less about wifi/internet. The problem with the blackberry and Palm is that I don't think you can run standalone navigation apps on it , so you'd have to have a data plan to go with it. I still think that if you are planning on getting a data plan anyway, and you don't mind the smaller screen, the Samsung seems to be a pretty pretty pretty spiffy phone. |
