Checking Internet Speed on my VZ Touch

Hi all,
I've installed the 6.1 upgrade on my VZ Touch (the "In the wild" version; not been released officially). Has worked well so far. Internet speed is faster, and with the GPS "fix" out there, I'm able to use the built-in GPS with Google maps.

However, I'm not able to test the Internet download speed of the phone. Any site I go to, requires Adobe Flash player installed, and when I try I get an error message that my platform is not supported.

The hacks to install Flash 7 on to Windows Mobile 6 seem complicated. Any simple way to install Flash on Windows Mobile 6.1? Any speed tests that don't need Flash??

go to dslreports.com/mspeed

doesn't require flash. You do need to go through a couple times to get a larger file until you can use the 1mb test file.

I had to run the 1 MB file size a couple of times; result:
641 KBit/Sec. (after Rev. A 6.1 upgrade on my Touch)
How does this compare with mobile phones in general? With and without Rev. A???

Go to the above site listed. Click on the 5k test. It will then prompt you to choose a larger file. Choose the 1mg. Should work then.

Give www.testmyiphone.com a shot. Pretty easy to use and they offer a few test size options.

Works well for me with a newer version of Opera Mobile (the one you need for M2D), haven't tried it on any other browsers.
