semi related - screen protector?

Has anyone made an 'exact size' template of the screen for the purpose of cutting out a screen protector? I have some WriteRight 'universal' protectors and I'd like to cut them 'just exactly right'... without wasting half the pack..

you can try taking a piece of paper, place it on top of the screen and by using a soft pencil rub along the edges of where the screen would meet the black shell (at the seam).
Kind of like when you trace the images off of coins....
cut off the shape and just use it as a template

yeah, that's probably the route I'll have to take... funny how this phone has been out a couple years now and nobody else thought of this???
