I was having the same problem at first... Did the following fix (a couple times, it didn't seem to stick the first time I did it)... ** Found a few places online ** Go To: Settings>Connections Tab>Connections>Manage existing connections Select: "Data Network Connect" Click "Edit" Number to Dial Is #777 Then Add this: Username: [Your 10-digit cell number]@vzw3g.com (Without the Brackets) Password: vzw Domain: [leave blank] Click The "Save Password" checkbox (if there is one... there wasn't on mine for some reason) Click "Finish"

That Verizon rom in my ftp folder was just a sprint or bell based rom (cant remember which) that I modified to include the Verizon setting & icons. I would take sdlucky's advice & flash the leaked unofficial Verizon rom. This will flash your rom, radio, and should get you going...make sure you LET the customization run!! ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Verizon/RUU...37.77_Ship.exe once you get your phone working 100%, then you can flash a custom rom....just remember, NEVER let customizations run when you're flashing rom from another carrier!!
