I was having the same problem at first... Did the following fix (a couple times, it didn't seem to stick the first time I did it)... ** Found a few places online ** Go To: Settings>Connections Tab>Connections>Manage existing connections Select: "Data Network Connect" Click "Edit" Number to Dial Is #777 Then Add this: Username: [Your 10-digit cell number]@vzw3g.com (Without the Brackets) Password: vzw Domain: [leave blank] Click The "Save Password" checkbox (if there is one... there wasn't on mine for some reason) Click "Finish" |

That Verizon rom in my ftp folder was just a sprint or bell based rom (cant remember which) that I modified to include the Verizon setting & icons. I would take sdlucky's advice & flash the leaked unofficial Verizon rom. This will flash your rom, radio, and should get you going...make sure you LET the customization run!! ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Verizon/RUU...37.77_Ship.exe once you get your phone working 100%, then you can flash a custom rom....just remember, NEVER let customizations run when you're flashing rom from another carrier!! Where is the ROM from? PPCGeeks kitchen? If yes you should be OK. You could be real safe and not let them run though.

yes, i believe that is where its from. a little while ago i finnished building my rom, and once i loaded it, and booted, i realized that i had forgetten some importiant programs, like the today screen htc plugin...soo...ive got to begin the process of rebuilding it...*sigh*.. but hopefuly all of this messing around with this stuff will better me throughout life? idk...lol maybe this next attempt will work.. i just thought of something.. that leaked vzw rom...would it be a good idea to use that as my base to build my ROM off of? |

Re: trouble with xv6900 programming after flash
ALRIGHT!!
all is well! ![]() by absolute chance, i stumbled upon this: TheBigBently started a thread, but it didnt get vary far BECAUSE HE stumbled upon a different thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=33937 which explains my problems, and enough detial for me to benefit. followed the step-by-step, and am now running on wm6 for the xv6900 with (as far as i can tell) EVERYTHING WORKING! i am about to take it a step farther, ( basicly what i was able to do was start from mile one), and flash to the leaked 6.1, THEN im going to build my own (hopefuly)"working" rom, and flash that. but im still wondering if its a good idea (if at all possible) to build my new rom off of the leaked one. any ideas? thanks guys (and of course gals)! ![]() |
