Telus vogue not able to text u.s.

I updated the rom of a friend's Telus Touch to the newest available (for Telus) and we got a weird problem. Everything works fine except for the fact that she cannot send or recieve text to U.S. people. She was texting her canadian friends with no problem, but neither her b/f or I could recieve, nor send her a text message.

Another fact worth noting, she did not recieve any text until i started a data connection. Ever since then, like I said, she can send and recieve from Canadian citizens only. Coincedence?

Any thoughts?

If you used their rom i would contact their support and let them know of the issue, now if you are using a cooked /custom rom that is a diff story.
