i dropped it!!!

i dropped my baby! on the way outta school i dropped my touch and the battery came out. i put it back in and now the screen is unresponsive! is there anything i can do? or should i start looking for a new phone? thx

Did you ever at any point back up your contacts and whatever ? If you have you may wanna try a hard reset?

All I know is I have dropped my touch like six times and never has it effected the screens response...

yea i backed up all my stuff, thank god, but how do i hard restart?

I doubt hard reset is the answer. If you want to try hold the green and red buttons down while pushing in the soft reset button.

It sounds to me like you broke the hard plastic touch panel. If you dont have insurance try to find someone who can replace it.
