Re: Saving Text Messages

SPB Backup will allow you to save your text messages and restore them after a ROM update

Here's a link- http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/backup/?en

It's a pay program, but they have a free trial period

Hope this helps.

You can do a "custom restore" with SPB & just restore what you want.

Re: Saving Text Messages

try doing a complete system backup... it saves it as a .cab file and all you have to do is go through your file explorer and select it... it should reinstall EVERYTHING that was ever on your phone... settings, contacts, messages, call log, etc...

This may sound obvious, but do that b/u right before you flash the ROM, otherwise your info will only be as recent as your las b/u. You may also want to look into Dashwire for backing up texts, voicemails, IE faves, etc.

That is correct, I restore from a complete BU this way constantly (I've probably done it 50 times). This even works OK after flashing to a different ROM.

I am posting this from an XV6800 verizon phone that had a complete SPB BU restored to it after flashing from dcd 3.2.6 to nue3 & everything is working perfectly.

I also own Sprite BU, but I never use it anymore as every single time I tried to restore from it after a flash the phone would work but I would find programs that didn't work/error I had never seen before etc etc

Re: Saving Text Messages

Are there any limits to SPB Backup during the trial period? Can I do a full backup+restore?
