WMP - Shutting audio off when Screen Shut off

so, sometimes when I use Media Player, either streaming Sirius Sat Radio or just as a standalone music player, I press the top button to keep bat life, and it shuts off the audio.
There seems to be no rhyme nor reason for when it does this, but it is annoying. I use th Sirius for the most part, about 90% of the time, and try to save as much battery as possible.

any suggestions?

so there is a reg fix for this, or a simpler option.

The simple option, in WMP go to options. Then buttons. the last button you can assign is "toggle..." That is the button you can use to turn the screen on and off. I currently have mine set to turn off when I press the enter button. you can assign it to any button on your phone that you want by highlighting "toggle" and presisng the button. The only button this does not appear to work for is the top on/off button.

If you want the reg fix lemme know. It doesnt really work the way I would like, sometimes it does not allow for continuous playback when not streaming.
