HTC Touch 6900 Freezing up after new download

I have been trying to install the new weather download and all of that for the past couple of days. I had originally donwloaded the HTC Home with the 6 tabs. I then went back to the thread and you all mentioned to change that to the originally HTC Home cab file and you posted that file. I did that and now my phone will turn on, then freeze and not allow me to get past "My info". I cannot receive calls, I cannot do anything on it.

Any suggestions?

If l else fails hard reset...It'll be like receiving a new phone!!!

I am thinking I will have to hard reset and just start over. Okay, dumb question here - How do I hard reset? I know how to soft reset, but that is not working. Tried that many times.

Okay, did the hard reset. Now trying to figure out what i need to add to the phone and hopefully going to try and figure out how to recover all of my contacts!

ummmm you should have backed your contacts up before hand bro :-\...

oops thats a lesson learned huh? the pim backup works great. you need to do that before you reset obviously. Then you simply run a restore and you can restore all you want. i keep my software cabs, rars etc...in a file on the pc so i can reload all those also and scrap the ones i dont need or use. i like to rebuild from scratch each time i do a hard reset. gets really easy after several resets. one other note on verizon you will have to call in *611 hit 0 to get a tech and have them restablish you on the network. a hard reset kicks your phone off their network.
