Help with HTC Touch!

Today, I cleared the memory on my HTC touch, and now I can no longer access the Verizon network. What steps do I need to take to get my phone back on the network?

install the vzw carrier cab here http://dcd1182.n715dp.com/index.php?dir=carriers%2F i keep one on my sd card just in case

I installed that, and it still won't work! what gives?

you got me! did you soft reset after installing? if not do so

you need to *228 to reprogram to vzw network. dont know why but you have to. be sure you are in your home network when you do this so it can recognize your phone. i still had to go back to the store to get them to call tech "main" and rehook me to the network. btw they did through the ##778 send menu

I got it fixed, called VZW and the tech had me check that all the numbers were correct for my phone on the ##778 screen, they were not, so I changed the numbers to what they should have been, then the phone worked fine. I think that Seven push-email may have caused this.

did a hard reset again yesterday. it will kick you off the vzw network as a recognized phone and they have to get you back on by a call to tech support. wierd thing is *228 update 1 (spl? or whatever) got me back on and then kicked me off *228 option 2 (roam update) got me back on then later in a different cell range kicked me off again. damn gremlins! tech said that it is a known issue with a hard reset. i told them i'd call them again regularly when i get the phone to where i want to wipe it again. what a pain...
