Re: CDMA HTC Touch Housing Replacement

i can't believe they are soo expensive...
the phone costs ~$350, and $70 of it is the housing?
i kind of wish they spent a little more on the internals, than the externals...

hooover, why didn't you hook us up with your awesome 50% off deal? =Þ

Buying all the pieces of anything separately usually costs more that buying it complete. It's like that for cars, computers, appliances, etc.

Re: CDMA HTC Touch Housing Replacement

I bought the white one so my wife's could be different from my black one. She loves it. It wasn't that difficult at all and it looks good. I thought the cost was fine considering I originally got her a Sprint Touch for $99 a week before the price went down to $49 bucks!! Suffice it to say, I got a price adjustment and went ahead splurged on the new housing.

Thanks to l3v5y over at xda here it is.This is for the elf but you'll get the Idea.
Thanx for the post. I just replaced my broken LCD and cracked white (Verizon) case with an HTC original black case (with Verizon branded digitizer and a new LCD). Couldn't have done it without the helpful dis-assembly guide. Again, thanx!

Re: CDMA HTC Touch Housing Replacement

cnn.cn has white, black and dark blue housings for $70. One reason they are so expensive is because they also include the digitizer. You can also order all the tools you need for under $5 a piece on this website. The only catch is, they are located in China. but that doesn't seem like a big problem, just wait a little longer

Re: CDMA HTC Touch Housing Replacement

I'm about to replace my housing too, and I was wondering which kind of glue do you use to replace the digitizer, and for the other non assembled parts(earphone grill, rear speaker grill, camera "chrome",etc..) on the new housing?

This is the housing I bought : http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=400002511144
