International SMS/Texting

I have Sprint's Vision and Texting, and would like to know if there are ways to send free SMS/Texting to International mobile phone? Currently, Sprint charges 0.15 cent to send and receive texting outside USA. I am interesting in knowing if there's ways to send it free or with any softwares available to do so. Thanks much in advance.

Me too. they charge me 20c / message!

same here! i get charged .20 cents sending or receiving! i wished they would just charge for seding not receiving like tmobile does! hey but i am not giving up spring for tmobile i prefer to get charged for sms than lack of network!

I heard there's a Mobile software that can be used to send/receive international SMS. Still trying to find it..

Me too wish Sprint don't charge for incoming SMS.

i can see i am not alone in this matter....tell me about those charges...boy they are killling me big time....but i have a solution, is not the best one but is some how "free". You will need a unlimited data plan here for your cell phone, or something that lets you CHat all you want, i.e via yahoo, aol, msn, msn live....and the person on the other side of the world or wherever he/she is would have to do the same, it is a theory a good one i think. But you would have to see what kind of plan the cell phone companies offer in the country that you want to send the sms. Chat instead of sms.....besides WM6.1 gives you that feeling with the sms now.....it shows them as a chat conversation....well let me knoe if it helped....peace

.20 is killer especially if u have a loved one abroad, but believe me, it's not as nearly as bad as their international calling rates! I text to vodaphone egypt, but the receiving end is not able to send a message, it tells them message failed! ( Anyone else experience something similar.
) But all things received on Egypt mobile networks is free (calls, sms, etc), which I kinda hoped we had here too.

A solution to decrease international sms to install Skype Mobile, add some credit and rely on their much cheaper sms rates. I would think you can change the reply number so when they reply it's sent to ur phone number that if u don't have a skype out number.
