windows mobile device center help

i have a laptop running windows vista. wmdc will not open at any point. it is installed. i tried the whole un and re install and still nothing. any ideas?>

This may sound as a dumb question but something as simple as this is the cause of many problems with WMBDC. "Did you attempt to run wmbdc without your device synced via USB?" You have to have the device attatched befor it will work.

yes i did all the basic trouble shooting also turned off advaned networkin and still nothing

I experienced this same issue for almost a year w/ my 700wx. Apparantly, there was a bug in my stock WM5 ROM. I flashed to a custom WM5 ROM and the problem went away. I've since upgraded to WM6 and everythings still running fine. Bottom line..might want to consider flashing a custom ROM

I just flashed the manila rom and still nothing i have heard something about vista not erasing drivers and people have yo delete them manually can any one confirm or explain

just wanted to give everyone an update. i ended up restoring my laptop back to factory defualt and re installed my phone then wmdc and that worked. thank god my laptop was pretty much new.
