I dont want to use it much, I just dont want people who look at my phone to choose it, then have to tell them they owe me money

So you just tell them not to choose it because its not in your data plan...any way you look at it there is a fee for data usage unless your on a unlimited plan gps itself can be found for free but the fees will apply as the program describes...people playing with your phone could cost you a lot of money so you just gotta let them know not to use your gps, also the 10$ upgrade could save you in the long run.

yea for sprint the fee is $0.03/kb, good thing I have unlimited data(not including gps) I already spent $775 worth of data using sprint tv and pocket sportcenter.....

wow, well if you have unlimited data then you can really just use live search for GPS its free but google maps is pretty cool and there are others but they cost money unless you know where to get them but that's not welcome on certain sites which completely understandable... just research...

i used google maps with gps and it doesnt charge it dint appear on the report that sprint sends (forgot the name of it)
just start google then the gps and if it works dont tell sprint ahha just c if they charge you :P thast what i did and am using it for FREE WOHO GPS =P |

aMaze is an awesome free GPS program that gives spoken turn by turn directions & recalculates if you make a wrong turn.
Of course it helps to have an unlimited DATA plan, but that applies to Google maps ir MS Live Search also. ~John |

see if your looking for a navigation aMaze is a great program most of these don't charge you anything they just require data and yes live search is a great tool...instead of aMaze i have been using tom tom ...or sprint tele nav.
