Re: Help: Backlight & Lock Device to softkeys
With default WM6 and 6.1, you can set press and hold of right (red) hardware key to lock phone:
Start > Settings > System (tab) > Long Press End Key If you must have it on softkey, then maybe KeySwop by Vicott Wong of Vicsoft would help. I used keyswop to set my right softkey to \Windows\Backlight.exe, because of the bright Florida sun making my screen unreadable when outside. Now, without even looking at screen, I can press end (red) hardware button and know I'm at today screen home. Then a tap in lower right screen area, and finally holding the right navigational edge of directional control pad until screen is readable or at max. Best of all, can do it 1 handedly, with thumb of same hand holding phone. Keyswop is freeware, here: http://mobile-sg.com/software/?p=KeySwop&platform=ppc Hope this helps, MrG |

I have previously installed Long Press End Key because I use a completely stripped ROM based of of JD's latest hybrid release back at the end of July. My ROM also does not have the Backlight.exe, so if anyone can post or PM me the file, I would greatly appreciate it! |

Re: Help: Backlight & Lock Device to softkeys
There is a ql_lock file in the Windows folder that locks the device. I copied that file into the Start Menu\Programs which made it available to assign to the hardware button. I am using the latest stock Sprint ROM.

When you add the "Device Lock" item onto the today page and press it, what is executed and where is it located? |

Re: Help: Backlight & Lock Device to softkeys
You can try DeviceLock for the lock option. I've used this before. Not sure on the backlight.

Re: Help: Backlight & Lock Device to softkeys
Okay jeiyuu, here's Backlight.exe from my almost stock WM v6.1 \Windows\ folder, along with a few other such files I threw in before zipping it up.
