advanced configuration tool-i just downloaded this cool utility it has 200 or so reg edits and program options. I believe I saw a few to change what you are looking for. the only thing is-not sure how a short boot up will affect loading and so on. maybe someone here can shed some light on this as I would like to know myself.

with that utility disable the start up animation. I'd check and see whats in the start up folder in windows dir.
