Re: Official HTC Touch ROM?
I have flashed with a custom ROM for my 6900. It is a process taht seems overwhelming but if you follow the directions closely, it is over quickly and then the flashing can begin. I have flashed many ROMs on my phone. Once the unlocker is used, it is easy to flash a new ROM. I have no regrets upgrading my radio and flashing ROMs. Cool part about it is that you can use the GPS chip that came in your phone, and that Verizon disabled. At least, for my 6900 that is.
Enjoy!!

Re: Official HTC Touch ROM?
I have now tried various ROM's and can successfully make voice calls, however when I try to use the browser I get an error stating that the username/password is incorrect. I do have unlimited data on my plan (including PDA).
Is this a AAA authentication failure I am running into because the New ROM does not run DMU for MIP auth? Can anyone help in walking me through to recovering my data connections? |

Re: Official HTC Touch ROM?
i had that problem, called verizon and told them the deal and they let me know that somehow that my caller id had been blocked and my data plan. just a call to them after (updating roaming capabilities) caused the problem and i was good to go. i did this while on a drive home from school last weekend. took 10 mins, including getting off the phone with verizon, testing it out (while driving at 75mpg... something i dont recommend) and having the guy call me back to confirm it worked.

Re: Official HTC Touch ROM?
No Luck. I was on the phone with verizon people and they could not figure it out. The network engineers would now look at my internet logs and try to figure out whats going on.
