BT Headset changing my sound profile

While using my Bluetooth headset for answering calls, if I end the call using the physical red button, the sound profile is changed to silent, not even vibrate & I end up missing all subsequent calls because I can't hear the phone ring or vibrate.

Anyone else seen this issue ?? Any tips ?

TIA

Re: BT Headset changing my sound profile

My sound profile also seems to randomly change, and it is wildly annoying.

Re: BT Headset changing my sound profile

The same thing happens to me if I place the phone on vibrate while using a bluetooth headset. If I receive a phone call the phone automatically switches to the silent mode after the call is answered. If I use the "audio" ringtones, the phone never reverts to the silent mode. I have set it on vibrate when I'm in an area where I do not wish to disturb anyone with a call and that's when it changes to the silent mode. Perhaps there will be a fix that someone from Sprint can provide for us.

Re: BT Headset changing my sound profile

Hi all. This USED to happen to me. 2 ways to fix it.

1. Flash DHarvey's Vista ROM. It's a great ROM and does NOT have the profile changing problem. At least for me it doesn't.

Here's the link: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=31081

2. Someone posted that: I was having the same problem. I decided to play around in my phone settings just for the heck of it. I unchecked the box that says "Notify me when voice privacy is unavailable". It seems to have fixed it for now. I'll see if the problem returns. I only started experiencing it after upgrading to the latest ROM (3.65)

I hope this helps you guys. I can't guarantee it will but at least it should be worth a try. Just remember to flash properly and do a hard reset before flashing a new ROM and 2 hard resets after flashing it. At least that's how I did it.

Good luck!
