I am having issues with sending and receiving mms. i have simply used dcd's kitchen and attempted the default mms add-in with no luck. then i installed arcsoft 5.0.31.7 which then converted messaging to sms/mms. still no luck. i have defined my network for #777 and mynum@vzw3g.com pw: vzw. i am able to access the web w/o a problem. what am i missing or what could be the issue?

Re: Unable to send/receieve mms after rom flash
well, i just setup my email and i am NOT able to download email. i sense a correlation between the two! does VZ happen to have a proxy setup to connect to the internet?

Re: Unable to send/receieve mms after rom flash
Well, I really couldnt flash it w/my carrier (VZW) radio rom. I had to originially do either alltel or sprint so i could get the gps. its radio version 3.42. Does this help in determining what might be the issue?

Re: Unable to send/receieve mms after rom flash
Hmm.. I believe that an error may have been made in the cooking process of the rom you are using.. DCD is an awesome developer, but he doesn't develop for our device specifically.. I would recommend trying to use rstoyguy's or dogguy's kitchen and recooking your custom rom.. I know this may not be what you wanted to hear, but the only other recommendation is to send a PM to DCD for some advice. Good Luck, I know you have been looking hard for a solution.
**EDIT - I believe you are correct in that the radio version should not affect the SMS/TXT/MMS functionality regardless of carrier. Check out these kitchens made specifically for the Vogue: rstoyguy - http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36763 gguruusa - http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=37577 Last edited by jeiyuu; 09-26-2008 at 07:45 PM. |

Re: Unable to send/receieve mms after rom flash
good information! thanks! something i might add. my email started working, im receiving them w/o a flaw. I took a look at my old titan and noticed it has a special setting w/in the mms program. menu | mms options and there lies a tab named 'servers'. here i am able to add the mms server and port 80 setting like i have seen on another post. my vogue does not have this option - how would i go about setting this on the vogue? i think this might actually be the issue...
