Anyone using this Manilla setup with Vogue?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398173

Just curious if anyone is using the above successfully with the vogue and if so what things should I be considering before I take the plunge to not brick my phone?
I have hacked ROM already with gps (Bell phone before Bell released their update).

Thanks.

Re: Anyone using this Manilla setup with Vogue?

I am using these files on the Bell network. It works flawlessly except for email. perhaps it is the email supplier(telus) but all it says is "looking for changes". I tried hard/soft resets. The only thing that seems to work is to delete the account and setup a new one. The ROM that I am currently running is the official Bell rom. I will try some others and post results.

I have tried it on my touch with stock alltel rom & gps. Its nice but when you put a wallpaper on it, its only on the home page. Also there's noway to remove this from your phone, I had to hard reset.

you have to find an image that you want as wallpaper. open it using paint on your pc and then rename it hh_fw_backround and save as a .png file. then take this image put it on your phone. using a reg editor move file to your windows folder. go to settings/today screen/items and uncheck touchflo and exit out. go back into settings/today screen/items select touchflo. exit out and your wallpaper will be changed for the entire sliding screen.

You're not gonna brick your phone running this. This isn't a new ROM to flash. It's just a glorified Today screen plug-in.

Thanks man. I thought something had to be inside the rom for this.
Great news!

Re: Anyone using this Manilla setup with Vogue?

I just noticed it says "expect to do a hard reset upon each new version".
This doesn't sound like it's just a plugin?!

Thanks.
