Anyone using 3.42 radio on telus

I tried to update to the 3.42 radio (I have Telus) and eveything look like it worked i had full bars in my basment made a call did prl update, programed. I could not connect to the net. I tried soft reset hard reset I could not get anything. So I have flashed back to telus oem 3.41 radio.

How do i update my radio to 3.42 can some one list the steps ?
Do I use the sprint rom and then flash custom after ?
where did i go wrong is anybody else using the 3.42 on there telus touch if so how did you do it ?

I would like to know as well.
With Telus 3.41 radio and no data plan (pay and talk phone), my gps is lucky to pick up 3 sats and it is very inconsistent.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

For your problem all you have to do is upgrade to any cooked custom rom.

I used the black diamond rom and i got cold 7 second locks no problems.

My issuie is either physical damage or just the crapy 3.41.

has anybody tried using the 3.42 radio is there a install file for just the radio file without the whole sprint flash ?

I do have a cooked ROM.
I'm using Dette's clean Telus ROM, but GPS is still finicky. When it works I pick up 3-4 sats max and the signal occasionally drops. It can be a bugger to get it to work though. My main problem is I have no data access, being on a $10/month pay and talk plan. My perception is that data really helps to get fast locks- maybe I'm wrong though??
