Weird Problems with Touch

Hello, I am having some weird problems with my phone. The timezone on my phone is set correctly, but when I receive sms text messages they show up as arriving an hour earlier. I have the official 6.1 rom installed, so I have threaded sms text, and as i'm texting the time is not consistent. for example,

me: whats up? (2:30 pm)
friend: not much, you? (1:31 pm)
me: going to lunch, want to go? (2:31 pm)
friend: sure (1:32 pm)


that is how it shows up on my phone, my send times are okay but the receive times are an hour slow.

Second problem, I somehow lost all of my ringtones, and i now have a gibberish file on my sd card. I have a kingston 4gb sdhc card, and the gibberish file is 1.31 gb, or the same size as what i'm currently using on the card. the name of the file is in symbols, and it is a .if file. there is another .if file named 'C' thats there too. these files cannot be opened because they are system files and i'm scared to delete them.

it seems like this all happened the same day after i added some calendar dates to my outlook. The calendar events were also showing up an hour earlier too, but that problem fixed itself.

does anyone have a problem like this? I have tried everything i can think of to fix the time issue to no avail, and I dont want to format my sd card because I have garmin installed on there and it is a pita to reinstall. Any help would be appreciated!!
