Help my Touch is dying... .. .

SO the other night I thought my phone was freezing since I couldn't click oopen, close basically do anything, I could do a little here, a little there and
eventually noticed the D pad and softkeys were working fine. Since then, using the screen has just stopped entirely. I can't even get past my Slide 2 Unlock screen. If I soft reset I can do limited functions using the D pad but nothing using touch. So I am pretty sure the touch screen is just dead. My only weird observation is when I go to my text messages for example, I am looking at my in box and I center click to open it doesnt open, it acts as if I right clicked (tapped and hold).

Is this common? Anyone else have their touchscreen just totally stop working?
