Yahoo Email problem, Help Please

I have another question for this forum.
I am using the free yahoo email service (IMAP4) and I have been having problem with it since I upgraded to WM 6.1. Sometimes when the phone is trying to look for changes on my yahoo accounts, it comes back and ask for password. When accounts were set up on the phone, save my PW box is checked. Sometimes it does check my email account with out a problem and sometimes it does not work even if I enter the password in the box. I removed the account on my phone and did start fresh but still having the same problem.

I was wondering if anyone here is running into the same problem.

Thanks for your reply.
I have two yahoo account, two gmail account and one godaddy account.
Is this a problem with 6.1? I did not have this problem before I upgraded to 6.1

Re: Yahoo Email problem, Help Please

I also have the same problem with my Mobile Yahoo email. I actually used to see it before I upgraded to 6.1, so I've started to use GMail now for my reliable mobile email. Yahoo and that damn password prompt, especially when I try to send emails, is just too annoying, especially with its randomness

Re: Yahoo Email problem, Help Please

yahoo does NOT have free IMAP, so unless your paying for it, you need (or are better off) using POP3. you need to reconfigure your settings.

Re: Yahoo Email problem, Help Please

the 6.1 email setup may have different settings than the 6.0.
i strongly suggest you reconfigure for POP3 and see if that helps (once again, unless you have a Yahoo account set up for IMAP)
