infrared on Touch???

Hello Everyone,
I have a question for you all and I hope I can get the right answer from the group of people that know this phone better than lot of other developer out there.

My question is: Does Sprint touch have an infrared to communicate with another device? I know Mogul does and so does Treo 700, 750 and so on.

HTC Touch does not have builtin infrared.

yes, it does have infrared, a.k.a. "beams".
go in settings -> connections -> beam

I thought the beams were only for bluetooth ?

There is no IR on the Touch. The "beams" menu does refer to IR, not Bluetooth. But "beams" is part of the standard O/S, and does not signify the presence of IR.
