Sprint Telenav GPS to Run Google Maps

I upgraded to the WM 6.1 ROM about 2 weeks ago and also downloaded the Google Maps app. The GPS feature on Google Maps does not work alone. That is, I have to boot up Sprint Telenav to activate the GPS system in order to use the Google Maps app GPS. Is there any way to activate the GPS without having to boot up Telenav?

I've found that after a soft reset, Google Maps works w/o booting Sprint Telenav. Unless you're just looking to upgrade to the rev.a network, i don't see really any reason update to the Alltel ROM.

agps needs priming there are a variety of programs gps viewer works for me

live search does not need priming program but google maps does... you can find it here....

I have the same issue too... I gonna try to do a soft rese- hope this works. S is charging me for navi now
