Interesting thing bout GPS

found something interesting today about the gps, wonder if anyone else experiences this

I have gps toggle on my home screen, with it showing gps off, and I run live or sprint nav, both apps can find my gps location but the gps toggle still shows it's off

running google, I have to turn gps toggle on for it to find my location

does this mean that gps is running all the time or that live and sprint turns it on, and if it turns it on, does it also turn it off?

I'm guessing the today screen app is not getting updated by the live/sprintnav.

ok, after doing a little playing, gps toggle doesn't turn gps on or off, you still have to go into phone settings/location services to turn gps on and off..

so, is there any program that will actually turn gps on and off without going through all those steps?

I don't use gps that much, but I manage a convenient store where I use it to give directions, but to go through those steps just to turn it on, sometimes its faster just to get a map out.

anyone have any ideas
