Sprint Touch Problems..charging/data port not working?

I have a Sprint HTC Touch, and just as it goes outside the return period, I seem to be having major issues with it.

I started having the freezing problems that I see others have had for a week or two (Touch wouldn't wake from sleep, had to do soft reset each time, etc.). Then seemingly out of the blue, I couldn't get it to charge - not from an outlet, or from the USB connector. On two computers I tried plugging it in to get it to sync, and both times neither the phone or the PC recognized that anything was plugged in.

It seems as though the data/charging port mysteriously stopped working, but I have no idea if its possible to fix that. Any ideas? The battery is too low to flash the ROM, but I already tried a hard reset.

I have heard of several people here with the same problem in the past and a replacement seemd like the only way. Sorry.

I had that problem and it had to be replaced.

im with the mob, replaced mine also. since the diamond is getting close maybe your carrier will make deal on diamond. don't hurt to ask. goodluck
