clock jumps when waking up from sleep

Maybe I just didn't know the right string to search for.

When I put my Sprint HTC Touch (MP6900SP) to sleep, then wake it back up using the button on the top of the phone, the clock will usually jump a few minutes to the current time.

This isn't a problem except for when I want to use it as an alarm clock. Over the timespan of a few hours overnight in sleep mode, the clock may be off as much as 20 or thirty minutes if something didn't ping it to sync time with the network.

My only option, so far, is to set it so it doesn't sleep when plugged in, recharging overnight. But, that leaves the display on (I've set it to it's dimmest setting when plugged in.).

Are there any fixes to this issue? I'd like to be able to use the alarm clock feature from time to time when I may not have the ability to plug it in.

The clock is keeping accurate time, just not doing screen refreshes while the screen is off. Once you power it on, refreshing the screen is one of the tasks WinMo does when you "resume" screen display. (clock, signal, etc)

Re: clock jumps when waking up from sleep

this is probably the most annoying thing with the phone, I use a RLtoday screen and it sometimes takes up to 10 seconds to refresh the screen

Re: clock jumps when waking up from sleep

I have had this problem quite a bit and have actually had alarms not go off. For example: setting alarm for 7:00 then waking up at 10:00 am, turning on the screen, and the clock catching up and going off 3 hours late. My best solution i have found so far is to do a soft reset every night before i go to sleep. This has also solved many of my other vogue problems.
