Bluetooth issues w/PPC Kitchen

First, I'm using a Verizon XV6900. In my vehicle I have a Venturi mini bluetooth receiver/FM transmitter to play tunes on my radio. When I was using the stock ROM once I had paired the device it would automatically dock to the Touch when it was powered on. Now that I'm using PPCKitchen (first 20270 and now 20273) I have to go to settings->connections->bluetooth and press and hold on the venturi mini and set it as the audio device. I've tried adding BT Quicklink to my home screen as well to try and use that so that it was easier to make the link but when I try to link to it there it asks for the PIN which I know is 0000 but it keeps asking for the PIN. Any ideas? It's pretty much a PITA now to deal with whereas it was all automatic before.
