Re: HTC Touch and Prepend
I didn't see that anyone has an answer to my question/problem. I did find out that I can prepend but just not like on my other phones. If you know the phone number and deselect smartdialing it will work by manually entering in the numbers i.e. *67 123-456-7890.
I was just looking for a way to do it if I did not have the phone number memorized. Which is the case in about 99% of the numbers in my phone book. Amazing about 5 years ago I knew everyones phone number and now with cell phones and phone books I never remember anyones. If someone has any type of workaround for me I would be eternally greatfull. I would think there would be some type of hack or program out there to make the phone do this. Please let me know....... ![]() |

Re: HTC Touch and Prepend
prepending a number seems like such a simple function, even my 10 year old Nokias had it.... very disappointing that you can't prepend easily

Re: HTC Touch and Prepend
I have looked all over and have not found one yet. Yea I am pretty disappointed also. Seems like such an easy thing to do and every other phone (from the cheapest on up) has it except for the "smart phones". Go figure.
![]() If you find something else or something that might work better then the ones I posted above, please post it here to help everyone out. Thanks, -Tony |

Re: HTC Touch and Prepend
not sure if this will work but try:
*67pppp555-555-5555 The p is for pause. Add another if not enough time has gone by to take effect. Not sure if this was what you were looking for. Hope this helps! |

Re: HTC Touch and Prepend
I think we know how to do it. The problem is that the smart phones do not give you the option to do it like the old phones did. My old phone allowed me to select options (a soft key) then it had an option to prepend. It was available before you dialed any call (missed, recent calls ect). The smart phones just doesn't have this. You have to manually enter in the entire number instead of using your contacts ect. That is the hang-up.
