Re: Storage Memory Full

Thanks but it won't let me install it. It says its full but I have plenty of room on my memory card; I'll just do a hard reset and get everything deleted, and what app do you use for backup?

Re: Storage Memory Full

I think that it actually downloads the file to the phone's memory temporarily and then upon completeion, it copies the file to the card. You could probably download the file with your pc and then copy it directly to the card.

Re: Storage Memory Full

SPB Backup and Resco Backup are also good choices for backup utilities, and SKTools and MemMaid for clean up. I'd suggest downloading the .cab file for one of the clean up utilities to your card and installing directly to your card. That way you can do a cleanup, and see if that solves your issue. The thing that may be eating up storage memory is IE debris, if you hit the web a lot. I'd still recommend a b/u app once you get things in order.

If you're using internet explorer to download your file, you can set it to use the storage card for temporary files.

Make three directories on your storage card - one for cache, one for cookies, one for history. Set the registry values for the three values under the following key to point to the paths that you just created:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Exp lorer\Shell Folders

After you reboot and verify the registry entries "held", you can delete the old temporary files from under \Windows\Profiles\guest.

So I know this is an old thread but I tried this with my Mogul/Titan and it is dumping the cache to the new spot on the sotrage card but with an 8GB microSD I am still getting low memory errors with nothing else major running other than my usual Today plug-ins. Any Ideas?
