EVDO / CDMA Issue

The reception at my apartment is horrible, 0-2 bars when in "automatic" mode. I made adjustments to my EPST:

Preferred Serving System to Roaming Only
Preferred Mode to Digital Only

I now get GREAT 1X reception in my apartment, but I lose EVDO. What can I do to get better reception in my apt while maintaining EVDO capabilities...

I wouldn't even mind manually switching it when I need it, I just would rather not go into ##778# and restarting. The best would be to stay in 1X, but then have certain programs that switch to EVDO, is there anything like that?

I tried changing my Preferred Mode to HDR only, but then I am just stuck with the weak EVDO while in my apt AND I didn't receive the calls or texts I had the day I tried it.

Does anyone have a solution?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Re: EVDO / CDMA Issue

What about Sprint AIRAVETM. Don't know if it would work for what you need or if you can even get these yet, but it's worth a look.

Here's the thread..

Re: EVDO / CDMA Issue

Wow, that is pretty cool! Not sure if I want to pay a monthly charge, I wonder if there is another way to improve my service without shelling out more money...
