touch wont reconect to comp when update rom

please help when i try to update the connection to the pc dissconects and the update stalls please what can i do is there a setting that i am missing?

don't take this the wrong way, cuz i hate done this several times myself. when you open active sync (i assume ur running xp) in the file tap on the top there is a box that must be checked that says "allow usb connections". on my comp it periodicly unchecks itself. Also new to 6.1 there is a box under the connections tab in settings that says the same thing on your ppc.

thank you i am running vista i updated last week with bells new rom with no problem and now im trying to get a custom rom from here and now it starts but every time i start the update the safely remove device icon comes up and the update fails i am wondering if there is another setting i am missing on 6.1 cuz i just dont understand why i know for a split second while the ppc is restarting there is no connection to pc but it wasnt a problem last week i am at a loss

With Vista I have seen a few Geekers say that it is better to put the Touch into bootloader, than plug it into your PC. Then you can flash the new rom and you should be good.

To get into bootloader you need to do the following:

1. Hold "Power" and "Camera" key at the same time.
2. Press "Reset" once with the stylus and then release all keys.
