FYI: Charging your phone

I've seen several posts here now, and several of my friends with HTC phones also and didn't know...

If you don't know, you don't need to use those gimmicky adapters to charge your phone.

USB mini plugs right into the touch for charging.

For those that know, ignore.

This is also how the Diamond works too.

Lol. I assume then that you already know. But honestly, there are/were folks that didn't.

I suspect that because the connectors don't look the same would be the reason why.

If folks would look at the power adaptor that came with the phone it should have been common sense....but Im sure people have called sprint or HTC complaining the received the wrong charger LMAO

Uh? Steps, explain. My touch has the Multi USB, my power adapter that came with the phone has a normal shaped mini USB.

They do NOT look the same, nor in any documentation that I received does it say it's "ok" to just plug the miniUSB plug into their proprietary adapter.

So, unless you got something different than me....

Yeah, you'd think they were trying to sell you gimmicky adapters wouldn't ya'.

I had a Radio Shack manager almost refuse to sell me a mini USB cable because he said it wouldn't work. So I showed him and bought my $5 cable.

Yeah, and the worst part is, without knowing, I bought 2 more little adapters. 1 for the car, 1 for the office (both with 3.5 plugs) so they aren't completely useless....
