my contacts screen possessed?

i have the sprint touch and i am running the new official rom. when i open up contacts it sometimes shows the a-z slider on the side and other times it has a standard scroll bar... is there a way i can just pick one and have it stay?

I think it's a bug in the new rom, mine does that sometimes too, although its mostly the A-Z letters, if you close the app (Use the task manager X) then it will come up as A-Z next time

This is a problem for me too. At first I thought it was a setting that was being changed, but it is in fact a bug with the new official rom that HTC released. What a pain in the ***. There may have been bugs in the stock rom that shipped with the touch, but they were not noticeable. This newly released rom seems to have major bugs that are causing me to soft reset much more often. Sometimes 3-4 times a day.

Sorry, but I don't know the answer to permanently fix this specific bug.

so we just have to wait for an update from htc?
well i hope they include a way to choose a default keyboard and clock customizations along with the fixes in their next update
